Kenco Logistics was faced with a major people problem—lots of stuff to move in its clients' warehouses, but not enough people to drive the forklifts to do the moving. One of the biggest third-party logistic (3PL) providers in North America, Kenco is turning to west coast tech company Phantom Auto to help solve its problem by making it possible to drive a forklift without having to set foot in a warehouse or get behind the wheel of the vehicle.
Instead of working on site, operators sit at a console, complete with steering wheel and pedals, that can be placed anywhere in the world in any setting with online connectivity and drive the forklift remotely.
